We All Have a Story

Younger here than now but not in heart, so I've chosen to use my favorite picture.  Yes now I'm much older and hopefully somewhat wiser in life, but most of us have a picture that feels like who we are inside and this picture captures my person best ...

and forever young.

Below is an idea! History in the making, stories untold go to the grave and none other knows them.  Sad !  So in a little bit I hope to post a story to read in chpaters, and listen to.  It's free, lots of work left yet, but the idea is living history for future readers.

My story is only one of billions, yours can be written in a format that will be family kept, cherished and read for years to come.

Tell your story, simple or complex, in love and not, with family or alone, let your life story become a witness to what America was and who you were in the growing of a nation.  Let your heart and experiences spill over into the person reading you.  It may bring a whole new perspective to their own growing and perhaps ... bring hope to a life that may be in turmoil.

My journal is called  'Zoë Journal of Days' and the idea is for others to do the same. Stories that will be lost with the person passing if not spoken of or written down. Perhaps this will help someone aging write their story.  Bring out the family stories in writing and share them with the youth of today.  Get them involved in knowing the real and personal history in the family, How will they know if we do not tell them how life was in the early years of America, how will they even understand what has been lost in the fast paced world. It may seem unimportant now but as age comes to everyone who lives on, these stories may become very important for keeping the balance in the fray. I hope others keep journals also, life lived in the heart on paper, or keyboard.

This is insight at 79, my youth of rebellion came to mean regrets with repentance, but also learning hard lessons can bring wisdom we would never gain if they were not dealt with strong consequences.  I was wrong many times but have learned from the past.  That is the goal of these stories for others as well.  See yourself in how and why things may be out of sync, going wrong or just empty lives trying to fill them up with stuff. Come away with a new kind of hope. It requires hard looks at what is deep inside a heart. It also may require repentance and asking forgiveness. That can hurt and be so painful it almost is impossible to do, but you can ask for help there, YAH is always ready for a repentant heart and then ........... then there is a clean slate to build on. Don't be surprised if miracles happen then.

Thank you, Ruthie
