Summer of 14

From the little cottage in Gardiner to the view of the city of Klamath Falls, and finally back in Bend where it all started in Oregon, here is a glimpse of coastal life at 70 something, and retired life back on the desert side. With a heart of Todah, loving it all.

Michael made this Cross out of old oaken whiskey barrels for my Christmas Gift 2020.

Broom is by door to sweep snow off deck, gets really high if not done regularly when snowing. My little blue parakeet is so much fun.

My years of working for Ellen Traylor, Author/Publisher came to a sad end on September 3, 2021, when she passed away from COVID. A loss to all who loved her books, and to me for her teaching a novice how to format books for publishing, I will always be grateful. Farewell, Ellen.

Now into second year of isolation due to pandemic, and unable to take the vaccine due to chemical allergies. So I write. in this time of aloneness.

So I will paint in Bend now and finish my novel,

I loved Klamath Falls, It even has gulls, but felt it was time to return to Bend where all the family is. As everyone knows, I love the coast and had a wonderful year working with Author and Publisher, Ellen Traylor during 2013 and 2014, but the work was too much for my eyes to continue and so I returned to retirement. My work with graphics and arts finally came together working with Port Hole Books & Publishing so it is a memory loved and I learned a lot from her. I still miss the coast very much.

My garden spot was so beautiful last summer in Klamath Falls, but I now have a new garden on my deck in Bend which I will upload photos of soon. We had OH SO MUCH SNOW last winter, but none this winter. I've decided not to upload those pictures but will soon. The winter of 2016 - 2017 with sub zero weather and huge snow will be one for the Almanac.
